选择过程

There are many components that go into our admission criteria that help us see who 你是. GPA 和 the HESI exam give us a glimpse of how you perform academically. The Casper assessment 和 the St和ardized Recommendation Surveys tell of your ability to work with others, communication, flexibility, problem-solving skills, 和 other professional attributes you possess. The different admission criteria come together to create your “admission score”:

• 入学GPA - 50%

  Admission GPA will be calculated using the most recent 45 credit hours of coursework 和 GPA from all completed nursing prerequisite courses.

• HESI评估- 20%

  The HESI score is generated by averaging the scores from the 4 test categories (required 子分类):

  • 阅读理解
  • Vocabulary 和 General Knowledge
  • 基本数学技能
  • 解剖学与生理学

  There is no total or subcategory minimum score.

  You may only submit one HESI score/transcript each calendar year.  你可以提交 HESI scores that are more than a year old.

  You may only take the exam once within the window of December 1st, 2023 和 January 2024年9月19日下午5点.

  Casper is a soft-skill assessment. Casper measures 10 competencies: collaboration, communication, empathy, equity, ethics, self-awareness, resilience, professionalism, problem solving 和 motivation.

  Casper uses a unique, open, video 和 text response format, leading to more authentic, 及时的反应. You can justify your reasoning, express your values, 和 share your individual perspectives 和 experiences.

  Each test is rated by multiple independent raters, with a different rater for each 场景. The final score is an average of all raters’ unique impressions, reflecting diverse perspectives on the applicant’s performance. 这减少了偏见.

• St和ardized Recommendation Surveys - 10%

  The St和ardized Recommendation Surveys will be in the form of a survey that will be sent to your references, one from an academic reference 和 one from a supervisory reference, requesting information about your ability to work with others, communication, flexibility, 和 other professional attributes you possess on a 1-5 point scale.

  To obtain the recommendations, you will need to input the contact information (name 和 email address) of the two people you have asked to complete the recommendation 在护理CAS.

• Earned credits at UNC - 10%

  The number of credits completed at UNC are assigned points 和 used in the overall admission score as outlined below.

  • 0-2 earned credits at UNC = 0 points
  • 3-5 earned credits at UNC = 1 point
  • 6-8 earned credits at UNC = 2 points
  • 9-11 earned credits at UNC = 3 points
  • 12-14 earned credits at UNC = 4 points
  • 15-17 earned credits at UNC = 5 points
  • 18-20 earned credits at UNC = 6 points
  • 21-23 earned credits at UNC = 7 points
  • 24-26 earned credits at UNC = 8 points
  • 27-29 earned credits at UNC = 9 points
  • 30 or more earned credits at UNC = 10 points
